St Jude’s is a stunning development of eight loft houses and two apartments in a landmark building in the centre of Bristol.
This historic scheme, offering remarkable space and light, was created within the beautiful 1850’s former Church of St Jude’s. The sensitively built units were created within the shell of this listed building.
They have a New York loft feel, combining crisp, simple, modern design with the wonderful space afforded by a church.
Most of the loft houses are over 1,000 sq feet (93m²), with vaulted ceilings of 20ft (6.0m) or more. They also retain many original features including carved stone, exposed beams, stone colonnades, stained glass and ecclesiastical arches. Many rooms have dramatic full height stone gothic windows.
ShedKM, one of the UK’s foremost urban architects working in regeneration has designed the scheme in partnership with Michael Jones Architects.
