Redevelopment of the 120,000sq ft Shepherdess Walk Buildings commenced in 1994 and saw the conversion of this derelict Edwardian multi-storey factory into 30 large lofts, nine commercial loft-style studio/office spaces plus underground parking.
The lofts were sold as either open or planned units. This gave purchasers the flexibility to choose if they wanted their space divided up or left as open as possible. Current loft owners’ activities range through the services sector, from the creative to media and banking. Many have their businesses based in their units. The commercial units also have a very similar mix media and creative businesses.
